From the crossroads of TN-202 S & TN-114, south of Decaturville, travel south on TN-202/Brooksie Thompson Rd. for 1.7 mi.; turning east (left) onto Henry Kelly Rd., going 0.2 mi.; turning south (right) onto Gardner Cemetery Rd., going 0.4 mi., pasting the Recycling Center to the cemetery on the north (left) side of the road.



The Gardner Cemetery dates to the 1820s, making it one of the oldest cemeteries in the southern part of Decatur County. The cemetery is labeled "Wiley Cem." (misspelled) on the U.S.G.S. Thurman quadrangle (1972). The access road is located on the east side of Brooksie Road about a mile or so south of Tennessee Highway 114, near Pleasant Grove Church. The cemetery is still in use despite its age and is well maintained. There are well over 100 unmarked and fieldstone-marked graves here. David Donahue recorded this cemetery in the spring of 1994 and checked and updated it in 2004.

Ms Alexander recorded this cemetery in 1977 & noted "at least 123 graves with sandstone markers."
