They raised their five children while residing in California and Utah. During service with the Church Education System of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints they were assigned to Kansas, California, Montana, Hawaii, and Australia. After retirement they served full time missions in Singapore; Hartford, Connecticut; Calgary, Canada; Hawaii and Atlanta, Georgia and a mission with the Church Historical Department.
She enjoyed cooking, family, service of all kinds, entertaining and family get togethers.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, her children: daughter, Denise (Rob) Cox and sons, Thomas (Eileen), James (Phyllis), Daniel (Roseanne) and Richard (Chris). They have also been blessed with 27 grandchildren and 53 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, William Johnson, sister, Barbara Driffill, sister-in-law, Shirley Watts all living in Sacramento, California.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 11:00 am in the Highland 9th LDS Ward Chapel, 11162 North Alpine Highway, Highland, Utah. Family and friends are invited to a viewing at the church from 9:30-10:30 am prior to services. Interment will be in at East Lawn Memorial Hills Cemetery in Provo, Utah.
