Robert H. Stamm, Sr., 80, of Philipsburg, PA passed away on Monday, December 24, 2012 at his home.
He was the son of the late Carl Edward & Elsie Rebecca (Flick) Stamm, born on May 1, 1932 in Bellefonte, PA. He married the former Rosie E. Hanscom on August 18, 1952 in West Virginia. She survives him at home.
Mr. Stamm was of the Christian faith. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and was a self-employed carpenter for many years, until retiring.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: two sons, Frederick and Edward Stamm; four sisters, Phyllis Stamm, Patricia Baker, Helen Allison, and Carol Laubcher; and two brothers, James and Carl "Bud" Stamm.
Along with his wife, Mr. Stamm is survived by: three daughters, April Shannon & her husband Tim of Roswell, GA, Sherry McClain & her husband Brian of Port Matilda, PA, and Bobbi Jo Moses & her husband Joe of Villa Rica, GA; four sons, Robert H. Stamm, Jr. & his wife Rhonda of DuBois, PA, Carl Stamm & his wife Tammy of Philipsburg, PA, Greg Stamm & his wife Shirley of Philipsburg, PA, and Chris Stamm & his wife Paula of Philipsburg, PA; four sisters, Genevieve Rearick & her husband Ken of Jersey Shore, PA, Shirley Dowling & her husband Steve of Jersey Shore, PA, Linda Confer & her husband Bill of Jersey Shore, PA and Janet Weaver & her husband Ron of Austin, TX; and a brother Eddy Stamm & his wife Susan of Jersey Shore, PA. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2012 at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home in Philipsburg, PA, with Rev. Roger Laktash officiating. Burial will be at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Unionville, PA.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
