Marvin Dean Adams, son of the late Jim Adams and Ethel Woods Adams, was born August 30, 1930 in Alpena, Arkansas. He departed this life January 2, 2013 in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 82 years, 4 months and 3 days. Marvin was raised, attended school and church in Norfork, Arkansas. As an adult, he moved to Wichita, Kansas. While living in Wichita, he married Jaunita Atwood on August 15, 1970. He was employed by the Coleman Company, retiring after 25 years of employment. He was of the Pentecostal faith.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years: Jaunita Adams of the home; two sons: Jim Adams of Newton, Kansas and Doug Adams (Sally) of Seneca, Missouri; one daughter: Ruth Adams of Wichita, Kansas; one stepdaughter: Willa Zimmerman of Mechanicburg, Pennsylvania; one brother: L. D. Adams of Norfork; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews in the Norfork area and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son: Marvin Dean Adams, Jr; one stepson: Jerry Walters; one brother: Colien Hall and one sister: Lillian Clark.

Graveside funeral service will be Tuesday, January 8, at 1:00 p.m. at Galatia Cemetery with Jeff Sanders officiating. Arrangements by Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.
