Funeral services for Donald E. Waterbury, 49, were held in the Stickel Mortuaries Chapel on Wednesday, August 3.
Mr. Waterbury was born Nov. 4, 1527, in Elk Point, So. Dakota, and passed away July 31 at a Lancaster hospital. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean war. He had lived in California for 22 years, and was a chief shovel operator for the U.S. Borax plant for the past 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; a son, Delbert; three daughters, Patricia, Jane and Lucky, all at the family home at 12471 Sierra View, Desert Lake; his father, Sylvan Waterbury, Tulare, and a sister, Jean Sheppard, San Jose.
Richard Clark of the No. Edwards Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints officiated at the 10 a.m. services.
Interment followed at the East Kern Cemetery in Mojave. Stickel Mortuaries were in charge of arrangements.
