María Elena Lodge y Castro was the daughter of Michael [Miguel] Lodge [Sr.] and María Martina Castro y Amador. She was baptized at Mission Santa Cruz in mid-April 1836 (SCZ Baptism 02254). She married José David Littlejohn y Higuera (born Jan. 4, 1835) at Mission Santa Cruz May 15, 1851.

LITTLEJOHN--In mountain district, above Soquel, Jan. 9th, Mrs. Helen [sic, Ellen] Lodge Littlejohn, a native of California, aged 68 years.
[The funeral of deceased will take place from her late residence tomorrow (Monday), at ten o'clock A. M. Interment in Soquel Cemetery. Friends and acquaintances are invited to attend.]
