PEORIA -- Margaret E. Higginbotham, 83, of Galena Park Home in Peoria Heights, formerly of 2706 N. Springdale , died at 6:40 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, 1998, at Methodist Medical Center.
Born Feb. 20, 1914, in Bellflower to Silas and Lucinda Brooks Williams, she married Floyd H. Higginbotham on July 25, 1937, in Ellsworth. He died Nov. 27, 1994. One grandson, one sister and four brothers also preceded her in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Julie Wickersham of Peoria and Patricia Chepan of Washington; one son, Jon of Salt Lake City; two sisters, Myrtle Coile of Saybrook and Barbara Dykes of Lakeland, Fla.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Entombment will be in Springdale Mausoleum.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
