Archie was the middle son in the Addison Perryman family.

His first marriage was to Maude M. Olin on June 8, 1908, in Salamanca, New York. He was working as a Fireman. He was living alone in 1910, though listed as married, Maude was also was listed as married but living with and working as a servant in William Jones home. They were divorced June 7, 1916, in Yavapai County, Colorado according to the marriage license to his second wife. (Yavapai County is in Arizona)

Maude was the daughter of Charles and Emma (Whitmer) Olin. She married Claude Samuel Layne June 24, 1915, in Gila County, Arizona. According to Bob Galmish (#46790177), Maude was living in Arizona and married to a Claude Layne at the time of her mother's death in September of 1948. (Maude was the informant for her mother's death certificate.) Maude's middle name was Margaret, and she died May 8, 1949 in Superior, Arizona.

Archie married his second wife, Mae A. Seymour, on December 2, 1916, in Salamanca, New York. He was a laborer and she was a school teacher.

He was working at Atlas Steel Plant in 1918, in Dunkirk, New York, according to his WWI Draft Registration. He was tall, slender, brown eyes and black hair. Nearest relative was May, his wife.

While harnessing a horse at his home in Florfee, Pennsylvania, a black man shot him. He couldn't give a reason for the attack. The black man was jailed. He died 3 weeks later in McKeesport, Pennsylvania . His remains were taken to his mother's home at 3 Monroe, in Salamanca, New York, on Thursday, for the funeral conducted by F. L. Birch of Lily Dale. He was survived by his wife; son, Thomas; mother, Frances; stepfather, John Winsor; and brothers, Ivory and Cecil.
