Eliza Jones, whose parents were of Welsh origin, having come from Wales, settled near Johnstown, Pennsylvania, when she was a mere child. Her parents died while she was still very young and left her an orphan. She married James A. Lore around 1849. He preceded her in death in 1876.
Mrs. Eliza Lore, aged 85 years, widow of James Lore, died at her home in Blairsville on Saturday, January 13, of pneumonia. She leaves these children: William, of Blairsville; James, of Vandergrift; John and Charles, of Indiana; Mrs. W.W. Thompson, of Monessen; Miss Maggie, at home. Interment was made in the Blairsville cemetery.
