WALCOTT - Roman C. Kraft, of Walcott, Iowa, died Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at the Good Samaritan Home in Davenport. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, January 3, 2011, at Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Visitation will be 4 until 7 p.m. Sunday, January 2, 2011, at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery, Davenport. Memorials may be made to the Walcott Fire Department.
Roman was born Feb. 24, 1906, in Scott County to Henry and Betty (Jungjohann) Kraft. He was united in marriage to Ruth (Martens) Kraft in 1941 in Kansas City, Mo. Roman retired from farming in the Walcott area at the age of 90.
Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Allen and Sarah, of Davenport, and Robert, of Walcott; daughters, Gerry Reese and Marilyn Bennett, both of Walcott; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Roman was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth, who died Tuesday, December 28, 2004; parents, Henry and Betty; son, David; twin brother, Raleigh; and brothers, Herbert, Raymond, Arnold, Walter.
