ARNOULD - Rae A. Arnould, 87, 1123 S. Galena Ave., Dixon, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 1984 in Lee County Nursing Home after a long illness. Born Jan. 7, 1897 in Ashton, son of Vincent and Mary Kelly Arnould. Married the former Adelaide Johnson in Dixon, July 9, 1949. Operated Rae Arnould Insurance Agency, Dixon; also was Dixon postmaster 1948-1954. Survivors include his wife, Adelaide; five sons, Paul, Winnebago, Neil, Chicago, James, Marseilles, Richard and John, both of Dixon; two daughters, Mary Schumacher, San Pedro, CA, and Anne Wooldridge, Sparks, NV; 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, in Jones Funeral Home, Dixon, and 10 a.m. in St. Patrick Catholic Church, with the Rev. Gerald P. Kobbeman, pastor, officiating. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Dixon. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the rosary recited at 8 p.m. Memorials to St. Mary's School, Dixon.
