Douglas Jay Anderson, Sr., 78 of 1100 Meadow Drive, Elizabeth City, NC died Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the Albemarle Hospital. Mr. Anderson, a native of Orange County, NY, was the son of the late George Anderson and Alice Jacobsen Anderson and the widower of Paula Anderson. He was an Aeronautical Engineer (TWA) and former owner of Anderson's Liquor Store in Florida, NY.
He is survived by a daughter, Linda Anderson Shuback, of Orange County, NY; a son, Douglas Jay Anderson, Jr. (D.J.) and wife, Cynthia of Middletown, NY; and two grandchildren, Andrew Hansen and Harley Ann Anderson. He was preceded in death by a brother, George P. Anderson.
