Kenneth H. Busse, age 90, of 21024 Co. Rd. C, Kiel, died Wednesday morning, April 10, 2013 at Willowdale Nursing Home in New Holstein.
Kenneth was born June 26, 1922 at the family homestead in Kiel, son of the late Arthur and Adeline (Streckert) Busse. He graduated from Valders High School with the class of 1941. On October 28, 1951, he married Florence Halverson at Gjerpen Lutheran Church. She preceded him in death on October 21, 1987. Kenneth was a dairy farmer on the family farm for over 20 years. After retiring as a dairy farmer he was employed at the Manitowoc Health Center for many years. Kenneth was a kind hearted person with a smile for everyone. He enjoyed dancing and liked all sports, especially the Green Bay Packers and Nascar Racing.
Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law: Judith Busse-Wessely, Kiel; Sharon and Roy Meier, Manitowoc; and his twin brother: Kenton "Bud" Busse, Kiel.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2013, at Faith Lutheran Church in Valders. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Erica Cunningham. Burial will be at Gjerpen Cemetery.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday, April 15, 2013, at church from 3:00 p.m. until 4:45 p.m.
