Raymond Johnson Farmer

BLUEFIELD — Raymond Johnson Farmer, age 88, of Route 3 Box 450 (116 Dahlia Street), Bluefield, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013 at Charleston Area Medical Center.
Born on Sept. 6, 1924 in Goodwill, he was a son of the late Thomas and Sarah Spencer Farmer. He had been a lifelong resident of Bluefield and was a member of the Jesus name Church. He was a retired coal miner and was a veteran of the US Navy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Rex Farmer.
Survivors include wife, two sons, and two daughters.

Graveside services were conducted on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 at 3 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with Pastor Doug Steel officiating.
Friends and family served as pallbearers.
Cody Farmer served as an honorary pallbearer.
