Married Hardenia Pleasants Garth on September 1823 in VA.

"Waller Head received a medical education and located in Huntsville, Missouri, in 1831, the first physician to practice there, and for many years one of the leading physicians in the community. He also served in the state Senate, and at the time of his death he had just been elected a delegate to the state Convention called to revise the Constitution. He was associated in business with a brother-in-law, Dabney C Garth. On September 26, 1848 were recorded settlement papers and dissolution of the partnership following the death of Dr. Head. He was rated as a man of high order of ability and of great personal magnetism."
