Geneva McGinnis

Geneva S. "Nevie" McGinnis, 70, 2313 Picher Ave., died at 12:35 a.m. Friday at Oak Hill Hospital after an illness.

Miss McGinnis was born Nov. 10, 1919, in Joplin and was a lifelong resident. Before retirement in 1984, she worked 39 years for Miller Manufacturing Co. as a sewing machine operator. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and the Eagles Lodge, Joplin.

There are no immediate survivors. She does have a few nieces and nephews

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Parker Mortuary. The Rev. J.K. Wright will officiate. The body will be cremated. Private burial will be Wednesday in Gandy Cemetery near Galena, Kan.
