FAIRBORN Cynthia L. (Patty) Thompson Henderson, age 75 of Fairborn, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2012 in the Hospice of Dayton. She was born Patty Lou Thompson in Union County, Ohio on March 4, 1937 to Edna Lash Thompson and Harry Thompson. She was the sixth of eleven children. Her parents, two brothers, and three sisters preceded her in death. She decided to take the name Cynthia as an adult and was known as both Patty and Cindy to friends and family. Cynthia was married twice. Her first marriage was to William M. Foltz in 1954, and she leaves two children living from her first marriage. A third child, Debbie Sue, died in infancy. In 1962, Cynthia married John (Junior) Henderson who preceded her in death in 1990. There were no children born from this union. She leaves seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren, as well as her best friend of many years. She also loved a very spoiled cat named Little Lady. Cindy will be sadly missed by five sisters. There will be no public viewing. A graveside service will be held on Friday January 4, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in the Byron Cemetery, 3256 Trebein Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Jenna Henderson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any of the following: Fairborn Fire Dept., SICSA, or St. Jude's Children Research Hospital. Arrangements in care of Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, Fairborn.
