She is survived by four sons, Durwood L. Parker Jr. and wife Silvia of Rose Hill, NC, Frank Glenn Parker and wife Tina of Rose Hill, NC, Gary Parker and wife Dollie H. of Pink Hill, NC and Donald Parker and wife Wendy of Beulaville, NC, twelve grandchildren, Durwood L. Parker III and wife Melanie of Rose Hill, NC, Jason William Parker and wife Melissa of Teachey, NC, Crystal Lynette Parker and husband Chuck of Rose Hill, NC, Alondra Duran and husband Paublo of Teachey, NC, Amanda Louise Hardee and husband Warren of Leland, NC, Frank Glenn Parker Jr. and Jade of Penderlea, NC, Annslee Brook Parker and Will of Rose Hill, NC, Joshua Blake Parker of Wallace, NC, Angel Ivey Parker of Wallace, NC, Shanda Dawn Parker and Jeremy of Pink Hill, NC, Kristan Gail Cottle of Beulaville, NC and Melissa Cottle of Rose Hill, NC, seventeen great grandchildren, a brother, Pearlie Rivenbark Jr. of Wallace, NC, four sisters, Anna Laura Evans of Magnolia, NC, Faye of Ohio, Vergie and husband Kenny of Jacksonville, NC and Maggie Pearl Crawley of Wallace, NC and several nieces and nephews.
Born August 17, 1932 in Duplin County, Lucy was the daughter of the late Pearlie Rivenbark Sr. and Maggie Southerland Rivenbark and was preceded in death by her husband, Durwood Lee Parker Sr., a daughter, Linda Louise Parker Harrell, nine brothers, Ronald Rivenbark, Donald Rivenbark, Gene Rivenbark, Raymond Stone, Allen Rivenbark, Oscar Rivenbark, Cam Rivenbark, Mance Rivenbark, and Duck Rivenbark.
Mrs. Parker was a member of the Rose Hill Baptist Church and was well known for going to the different nursing homes and visiting with the residents. She would spend several hours just talking with the many friends that she made while visiting. Lucy also enjoyed cooking, flowers, getting her hair done and loved being with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
