He married Gladys Bresaw on January 21, 1928 in Winona. He served in the National Guard, and retired in 1973 from Winona Aggregate Co. He was a member of McKinley United Methodist Church, the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1243, and a former member of the Teamsters Union and the Redmen Club.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Lloyd Jr. of Winona and Clarence of Waupun, Wisconsin; twin daughters, Jean Eide and June Kohner of Winona; 29 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren, one brother, Ben Brabbit of Winona and three sisters, Cele O'Conner of Trempealeau, Wisconsin, Florence Plate of De Funiak Springs, Flordia, and Joyce Shultz of Milwaukee. Two sons, one brother and two sisters have died. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
