Marit was the daughter of Dordi (Nielsdr-Nelson) and Jørgen Iversen. Jørgen died in Norway, and she was raised by her step-father Gulbrand (more commonly known as Gilbert) Anderson.

Was Member of Church Society for More Than Half Century

Forestville- Mrs. H. A. Larson, 78, a resident of the Town of Forestville from early girlhood until the time of her death, passed away last week on Tuesday of a heart ailment and funeral services were conducted Saturday at the Forest Lutheran church. It was a 2 o'clock service, the Rev. H. P. Walker, pastor, officiating, although the Rev. T. S. Hanson, Green Bay, delivered the sermon.

Three sons, Guy, Raymond and Sherman Larson and two nephews, Harold and Glenn Anderson, and Henry Westergaard were the pallbearers. Burial was in the Forest Lutheran cemetery.

Mrs. Larson suffered occasionally with a chronic heart ailment for the past 10 years but was active until her death.

Mrs. Larson, before her marriage Mary Anderson, was born Aug 23, 1864 in Valders, Norway, and came from her native Norway with her parents in 1867. The Anderson family settled originally in the Manitowoc district but shortly thereafter came to the Town of Forestville where they developed a farm.

Nov. 18, 1885, she married H. A. Larson and he preceded her in death by six years.

Taking an active interest in church affairs, Mrs. Larson was the youngest member of the Forest Ladies Aid at the time of its organization in 1886 and the oldest member at the time of her death. During this more than half century membership she held various offices in the society.

Surviving are five children, Esther, DePere; Guy, Madison; Daniel and Raymond, Green Bay, and Sherman, at home; 13 grandchildren; three great grandchildren, and two brothers, John and Anton Anderson

Forestville-- Funeral services were held Saturday at Forest church at Carnot for Mrs. Haldor Larson, 78, pioneer resident of the township, who died the previous Tuesday in her sleep from heart trouble. The Revs. T. F. Hanson of Green Bay and H. P. Walker, church pastor, officiated. Goodman Gigstead sang.

Pallbearers were three sons, Guy, Raymond and Sherman Larson; two nephews, Harold and Glenn Anderson, and Henry Westergaard.

Mrs. Larson, whose maiden name was Mary Anderson, was born in Valders, Norway, Aug. 23, 1864, to Gilbert and Dorothea Anderson, and came to this country in 1867 with her parents, settling in Forestville. She was married here Nov. 18, 1885.

Mrs. Larson was much interested and very active in church affairs. At the time of its organization about 1886, when was the youngest member of the Forest Ladies' Aid, and she was the oldest member at the time of her death. During her membership, she held various offices.
