Mr. James William (Jim) Applewhite, 67, passed away on Sunday, December 30,
2012 at G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery Va Medical Center in Jackson, MS. He worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture in forestry. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a baptist.

Mr. Applewhite was preceded in death by his parents, John Ezra Applewhite & Jeanette Montegue Applewhite.

Mr. Applewhite is survived by his sons, James W. Applewhite II of Madison, MS, John Mitchell Applewhite of Richland, MS & Steve (Monica) Applewhite of Columbia, SC; sisters, Grace Willing of Richland, MS, Jean Jones of Penscola, FL, Janie Burns of Greenville, MS & Katherine Applewhite of Winona, MS; brothers, John Applewhite of Florence, MS & Harris Applewhite of Newton, MS; (2) grandchildren, Brayden Boyd Applewhite & Isabella Diane Applewhite.
