BOONEVILLE, OWSLEY CO., KY – 17 Oct 1995 – Lavada Carmack Burch, 93, of Route 2, passed away at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Fayette Co., Ky. on Oct. 17, 1995 after a long illness. She was a member of the Baptist Church, & a native of Owsley Co., Ky. the daughter of Jasper & Mattie Hoskins Carmack. She was preceded in death by her husband, Taylor Burch.
She is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Opal Howard, Cincinnati, OH; Mrs. Jeanette Harvey, Hamilton, OH; Mrs. Beatrice Peters, Connersville, IN; Mrs. Wilma Wilson, Mrs. Lola Watkins, & Mrs. Marlene McIntosh, all of Booneville, Ky.; three sons, Versel Burch, Dixon, Wyoming; Vernon Burch & Leon Burch, both of Bethel, OH.
Also surviving are two brothers, Fred Carmack, Chicago, IL; Eldred Carmack, London, KY; 29 grandchildren & several great and great, great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, at the Searcy and Strong Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Powlas & Rev. Bill Scott officiating. Burial will be in the Burch Family Cemetery with Searcy and Strong Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
