Michael L. "Mike" McDonald, age 44 passed away unexpectedly Monday evening, December 31, 2012 at his home in Brown County. He was a life-long resident of Brown County.
Mike was born in Columbus on August 27, 1968 to his parents, Jack H. & Nina Jo (Lewis) McDonald. He was a 1987 graduate of Brown County High School. Mike married Catrina M. Breeden on May 13, 1995 at their residence in Brown County. She lovingly survies.
Mike is survived by his father: Jack H. McDonald of Brown County; was the devoted father to: Tricia E. McDonald & Christopher D. Bailey both of Brown County. He will be remembered by his sister: Diana L. (husband, Brent) Biddle of Brown County; brother: James K. "Jim" (wife, Kathy) McDonald of Brown County; granddaughter: Madison M. Arnold of Trafalgar; and several nieces and nephews.
Mike was preceded in death by his mother: Nina Jo McDonald.
He worked at his families grocery store as the Meat Manager for the McDonald's Shopworth in Bean Blossom for the past 25 years. Mike enjoyed the outdoors: fishing, mushroom hunting, mowing and working on his farm. He was a fan of college football and the Indianapolis Colts. He was known for his good cooking and for his famous Sunday morning biscuits & gravy that he shared with his family and especially his father. Mike was a member and past Junior Stewart of the Nashville Masonic Lodge and the Nashville Shriners Club.
The Rev. Darrel Miller will conduct a funeral service 11 am Friday at Meredith - Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St. in Morgantown. Friends may call from 2 to 8 pm on Thursday at the funeral home. The Nashville Masonic Lodge will conduct a Masonic Service 7:30 pm on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Weeping Willow Cemetery in Bean Blossom.
