Abraham is the child of Peter Ginther and his second wife,Elizabeth Schwartz.He came to Tuscarawas Co. with his parents as an infant. He was united in marriage to Catherine Werner of Bedford,Bedford Co.,PA.whom he married on 2 Dec 1827.

He was a Carpenter and Cabinet Maker and farmer.

They are the parents of four children all born in Dutch Valley,Tuscarawas Co.OH.:
