"Mary Katherine Herring, 77, St Joseph, died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 1994, at her residence.

Mrs. Herring, born at Mountain Grove, Mo., had spent most of her life in St Joseph. She was a Christian.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry C. Herring; a son, Henry C., Jr.; a brother, Glen Alsup; and a sister, Opal Parrish.

Surviving are two sons, Carl of the home and Jerry of St Joseph; seven daughters, Shirley Miller of Wathena, Kan., Sherry Stufflebean of the home, Faye Woolsey, Karen S. Tworek and Francie Davidson of St Joseph, Lorraine Davidson of Union Star, Mo., and Mary E. Davidson of Clarksdale, Mo.; two brothers, Frank Alsup of San Jose, Calif., and Willard Alsup of Livermore, Calif.; a sister, Sue Henderson of Santa Cruz, Calif.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
