Bessie Mae Heston Baker, 87, widow of Gerald Wells Baker, died Sunday, July 3, 2016, at McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence, after an illness.

Mrs. Baker was born on November 19, 1928 in Wamego, Kansas, daughter of the late Albert S. and Pauline Day Heston. She was a member of Hebron United Methodist Church, Afternoon Circle and Inspirators. Mrs. Baker was a housewife, loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by a son, Albert "Al" Clinton Baker; and two brothers, Albert S. Heston, Jr. and Ronald Heston.
