The younger three were adopted by a Hendricks family in Monroeville, Alabama after Daniels death at Camp Chase because Elvira could not properly provide for them without Daniel.
Vincent died at an early age.
Henry and Calvin were found in Hillsborough County, Florida with families.

Daniel fought in many major battles in the Civil war which Included, Shilou, Chicamauga, Jonesboro and New Hope Church.
He was promoted to Corporal, Probably after the Battle of Chicamauga which was a decisive victory for the Confederates.
He was captured at the battle of Atlanta, Georgia and taken to Camp Chase Confederate prison where he died on Nov. 6th 1864, as a Prisoner of War. He was buried there on Nov. 7th 1864.
His cause of death was listed as chronic diarrhea.
