Born Monnie Verniece Reed, she was the fifth of eleven children born to Perry Tillman and Ozie Ellen Inman Reed. Verniece married Leon Oscar Willman on April 15, 1942 in Arkansas. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1992, just four years before she died. Verniece loved to tell stories about our ancestors, passing down family history so it would not be forgotten. She and Leon were the loving parents of two daughters.
