Mr. Colie Bradwell was a kind and caring man. He worked at Ditch Witch and I am not sure of all the places, He would help me keep my 1948 Chevrolet Fleetmaster running. He and his wife Margaret Wessinger Bradwell could not have children so they adopted a son Carlos,He was 1/2 brother to (Andrew Smith)of Gaston. Carlos was full of life and he enjoyed fishing. He drowned while fishing. Long after his loving parents departed this world. Carlos Bradwell is well remembered by everyone. He had a fun loving attitude and was the loving father to a son.

Colie L. Bradwell, 71, of Route 5, Columbia, died Saturday.
Born in Laurens County,he was a son of the late Murray J. and Bell Owens Bradwell. He was a retired automobile mechanic and a member of Christ Lutheran Church. He was a veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his widow,Mrs. Margaret W. Bradwell; a son, Carlos E. Bradwell of Columbia; brothers, Joe Bradwell of Mobile,m ala., James A. Bradwell of West Columbia and Daniel G. Bradwell of Gaston; sisters, Mrs. Gladys Watt, Mrs. Redius Lybrand and Mrs.Joyce Brown of West Columbia and Mrs. Irene Logan of Florida; and his stepmother, Mrs. Ethel B. Sutton of West Columbia.
Plans will be announced by Talbert-Shives Funeral Home.
