Mr. & Mrs Trevor Collier, Moore Street, town, were advised by the Navy Department on tuesday, that their son, Seaman First Class Henry f. Collier, 19, has been reported "missing at sea in performance of his duties".
Seaman Collier was graduated from the Elizabethville High School, Class of 1943, and enlisted in the Navy July 12th, last year. Prior to assignment to sea duty, he received his training at the Great Lakes Naval training Station.
He visited his parents during a ten day leave in July.
In addition to his parents, other members of the family are two brothers and two sisters. Elizabeth, William, Ray and Patricia, all at home.
Seaman Collier was serving on the destroyer, Warrington, which the Navy reported sank at sea during the Atlantic hurricane, last week.
