Joseph Kliss of the town of Algoma died at 10:45. a. m. Wednesday at his home after an Illness of nearly two weeks. Softening of the brain was the cause of death. He was seventy-two years of age. and had been for thirty years a resident of the same place. Hs enjoyed a wide acquaintance in the county.
The wife survives with four children. They are William Kliss of Stevens Point and Robert Kliss of the town of Algoma; Mrs. Henry M. Smith of 326 Tenth street, and Mrs. Orin Rasmussen, both of Oshkosh. A sister, Mrs; Fred Knaack, the only other immediate relative surviving. Is ill at New London with a paralytic stroke, and Mr. Kliss was summoned to her bedside just after he was taken ill but was unable to leave the house.
The funeral will be held on Sunday afternoon at the house, with services at one o'clock. Services will follow at the German M. E. church, corner of Tenth and Nebraska; streets, an hour later. Rev, Mr. Peters will officiate. Interment will be at Riverside.
