George E. Bond, 57, died yesterday afternoon at 1:30 at Mercy Hospital following a two weeks' illness. Mr. Bond had been a resident of Ashley for the past 11 years and was formerly a resident of Wilkes-Barre. He is survived by his wife and one son, William E. Bond of Ashley; on sister, Mrs. Nellie Weischarger of Scranton, and a brother, Samuel Bond of Wyoming.
The remains have been removed to the home, 21 Timpson Street, Ashley, from where the funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 3:15. Services will be conducted by Rev. C. H. Frick, pastor of Christian Church of Kingston. Interment will be made in Mt. Greenwood Cemetery.
