Funeral services were Tuesday, June 20, 1978, in the Cheyenne First Baptist Church for Helen Reust Briggs, McLoud, with Rev. A.L. Martin officiating.
She was born October 28, 1911, at McLoud, Oklahoma and passed away in the Shawnee Medical Center Hospital, June 17, 1978, after an extended illness.
At the age of 7 years, she moved with her parents to Roger Mills County where she resided the greater part of her life. August 17, 1931, she married Darius E. Briggs at Arnett. They made their home near Strong City until 1966 when they moved to McLoud to make their home.
Her Mother preceded her in death. Survivors are: her husband, D.E. of McLoud; her father, Chris Reust, Oklahoma City, OK; two sisters, Irene Jones and Lucille Hogue both of Oklahoma City; one brother, Austin Reust, Farmington, NM and hosts of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Interment was in the Strong City Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel.
