Alice Goodman married Samuel Spangler in about 1906. She and Sam had five children: Herbert, Ellen, Melvin, Opal and Foster.

Sam Spangler was a veteran of the Spanish American War. He did butchering for people. He was in the top of a scale house getting ready to hoist a beef, fell out and broke his arm, a compound fracture. He got blood poisoning and died from that in 1924.

In about 1930-35 Alice was remarried to Harley Knece and moved to Tarlton, however her stone says Alice Spangler.
