Allen Carpenter died at his home on East Second street about 2 o'clock this Wednesday afternoon. He had only been sick a few days. Mr. Carpenter had been in the employ of the Southern Indiana [railroad] and looked after the switch lights.
He leaves a wife and four children, two at home, Mrs. Willard Cox of this city and Allen, of Peter's switch.
