Ann Elizabeth Murphy, 81, Memphis was born August 1, 1931 the daughter of the late Charles B. and Ellie H. Caldwell. She entered into eternal rest December 22 in Memphis.
Ms. Murphy was a homemaker and was a member of Bellvue Baptist Church. She was known as a great mother and grandmother by her family. Ms. Murphy is survived by five daughters, Eloise Faye Hyatt, Mary Ann Murphy, Jennifer Lynn Murphy, Cheri Michelle Turner, and Alisha Marie Marr. Two sons; Burrell James Murphy, Jr. and Charles Samuel Murphy also survive along with eleven grandchildren, Bill, Terry, Patrick, Grace, Michael, James, Steven, Brooke, Christina, Allan, and Mark. Ms. Murphy also was survived by a blessing of six great grandchildren. Her parents and husband, Burrell James Murphy, Sr., precede her in death. Ms. Murphy will lie in state from 6pm-8pm, Tuesday January 1, 2013 at High Point Funeral Home's West Parlor and Funeral Services will be held at 9:30am Wednesday January 2, 2013 in the funeral homes Main Chapel.
