Tobe Bailey, age 87, of Springville, passed away December 20, 2012. He was born May 17, 1925 to John Eugene and Veloy Wahlin Bailey in Schofield, Utah. He graduated from Springville High School before serving his country during World War II in the US Navy.

Tobe married his eternal companion, Shirley M. McCulloch on January 11, 1944. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Utah Temple. Tobe and Shirley had six children, Susan (Dee) Roach, Robert James (Joyce) Bailey, Judy (Boyd) Hansen, Clint (Nuni) Bailey, Evelyn Katherine Bailey, and Brent Douglas Bailey, 15 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and brother-in-law, Karl Black. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Evelyn and Susan, daughter-in-law, Nuni and siblings Jack Bailey and Bonnie Bailey Black.

He loved the great outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He spent many hours catching lake trout at Flaming Gorge. His favorite hobby was breeding and training Labrador Retrievers. He loved sports and enjoyed watching his grandchildren's ballgames.

As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he held many callings and loved to provide service.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Spring Creek South Stake Center, 350 North 400 East, Springville, Utah. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 to 10:45 prior to the service. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery located at 1997 South 400 East in Springville, Utah.
