Bettie was born in Missouri. She married William Lonzo Lovelady Dec. 20, 1914 at Buford, Baxter County, Arkansas. They had four children born to them in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, only two of whom survived. Bettie died of pneumonia only a month after giving birth to their second stillborn child. She was 41 years old at the time of her death.
