BENTON - Mrs. Allie Lorene Barker, age 89, of Benton died Wednesday October 17, 2007. She was born January 19, 1918 in Saline County to the late John and Emma Davenport. Mrs. Barker was a home maker and a member of Salem United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin Barker. Survivors, son, John T. Barker, Anaheim, Calif.; daughter, Karen L. Barker, Gainesville, Fla.; brother, W.G. "Dub" Davenport, Hot Springs; sister, Doris Munson, Benton. Private Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Pinecrest Cemetery with a public memorial service to follow at Salem United Methodist Church at 3 p.m. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Scleraderm Foundation or to Salem United Methodist Church.
