The son of Joseph C. Inman & Malinda Bolton. He was born in Williamsburg, Kentucky. He was a veteran of World War I, serving as a Private First Class in the U.S. Army in Base Hospital 86. He was the husband of Hester E. McPhail. He died of bronchitis at age 48, in Jenks, Oklahoma.
