Charles Allen Day, 61, St. Joseph, Missouri died Friday, December 21, 2012 at his residence.

Charles was born September 28, 1951 to Charles and Alberta (Davis) Day.

He married Nancy Conner, who preceded him in death. He later married Linda Davis on September 6, 2003.

Mr. Day worked for the Division of Family Services for the State of Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy; father; and sister, Mary Catherine.

Survivors: wife, Linda; son, Chuck Day; daughter, Janice Turner (Gene) and Tina Day (Emil Grimmig); mother; fourteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Judy Ingram (Dick); brother, Kendall Day (Debbie) and Randy Day (Brenda); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services: 3:00 P.M. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Mount Auburn Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, where friends may call after 12:00 P.M. Wednesday. The family suggests memorial gifts to Heart and Diabetes Foundations.
