BAUMAN, Vernon J. - Passed away at the K-W Hospital, on Sunday, July 13 1980. Vernon J. Bauman, age 78 years, of 45 Caroline St. N, Waterloo. He owned and operated Bauman Tires and Battery Service for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the All Saints Anglican Church in Waterloo, the Retired Businessmans Club and the Independant Order of Oddfellows, Germania Lodge, Waterloo. He had served three years as Mayor of Waterloo, six years as alderman and one year as reeve. Son of the late, Mr and Mrs. Alex Bauman.
Husband of the former Marion Hirons; father of Robert, Ronald, Peter and Mrs. Joy Barrett, all of Waterloo; also survived by 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by one brother and one sister.
Resting at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, after 7pm this evening. Funeral and committal service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home, Tuesday, at 2 pm, Rev. David Morris of All Saints Anglican Church assisted by Rev. Harold Wright of Emmanuel United Church will officiate. Interment Parkview cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be shown by contributions to the Ontario Heart Foundation or the Building Fund of All Saints Anglican Church.
