HOLMES, STEPHEN H. - age 60 of Knoxville, passed away on Thursday morning, December 20, 2012 at Tennova Hospital. He was a member of Grace Full Gospel Church of Plainview. He was preceded in death by his son Aaron, parents James and Bobbie Holmes. Steve is survived by his wife Vickie McSwain Holmes; sons Nathan Holmes, and Michael Billington and daughter-in-law Tina Billington; daughters Stephanie and Jennifer of Knoxville and Vickie of Ohio and daughter-in-law Kim Holmes; grandchildren Joseph Taylor, Jeremiah, Karter, Savannah, Brandy, Brandon, Kayla, Shayna, Anthony, and two granddaughters in Indiana; sisters and brothers-in-law Gayle and Mike Shelby and Debbie and Ron Buckner; several nieces and nephews; special uncle Chester and wife Aunt Verma Holmes and sons John and Jeff. The family also acknowledges special friends Merle Clayton, and Anson Galyon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Knox Area Rescue Ministry. The family will receive friends at Cooke Mortuary, Maynardville, TN from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Saturday December 22 with funeral services following at 8:00 pm. Reverend Chris Daugherty officiating. Graveside services will be held on Sunday December 23 at 11:00 am at Pleasant View Cemetery.
