Dr. Reeve practiced in our village for several years about fifty years ago. He then returned to his old home in Orange county, and practiced for a time at Goshen. Afterwards he moved to Warwick, Orange county, where he made a considerable sum of money by a fortunate investment in real estate. About twenty-four years ago he returned to New Paltz and purchased the farm of his father-in-law, the late Josiah DuBois, now occupied by W.H.D. Blake. After a few years he went to Dutchess county, where he practiced medicine, and afterwards resided at Oak Hill, Greene county, until the time of his death. - He leaves no family except his widow, his only son having died when a young man, during the residence of the family at New Paltz.
Mrs. Reeve has gone to live for the present with her brother Edward DuBois at Marlborough.
