Adelfa Garcia, 65, of Port Lavaca, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2012. She was born June 26, 1947 in Sinton to the late Epolito and Herminia Martinez Ozuna. She was a homemaker and a Catholic.
She is survived by her daughter, Christina Garcia; sons, Edward Garcia of Port Lavaca and Gregorio Garcia III of Victoria; sisters, Angie Patrick of Port Lavaca and Mary Jane Covarrubias of Corpus Christi; brothers, Antonio Ozuna of Grand Prairie, Benito Ozuna of Port Lavaca, Epolito Ozuna Jr. of Port Lavaca, and Martin Ozuna of Port Lavaca; 12 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Epolito Ozuna; son, Steven Garcia; sister, Mary Ozuna; brothers, Sabas Ozuna and Johnny Ozuna; and grandchild, Aaron Matthew Garcia.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Artero Memorial Chapels. Visitation will resume from 8 - 9:30 a.m. at Artero Memorial Chapels before a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church on Friday, December 21, 2012. Burial will be at Port Lavaca Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Edward Garcia, Gregorio Garcia III, Alex Garcia, Jesse Garcia, Roselio Garcia Jr., and Johnny Novelo. Honorary pallbearers: Antonio Ozuna, Benito Ozuna, Epolito Ozuna Jr., Martin Ozuna, Frank Hysquierdo Jr., and Manuel Novelo.
