Eva Jo Long

April 20, 1936 – December 11, 2012

Eva Jo Long went to be with the Lord, December 11, 2012, at rest in her home in Atlanta TX.

Eva Jo is preceded in death by her beloved husband Jerry Long, her daughter Jacqueline Suzette Long, her parents Floyd and Mildred Blalock, and her brother Ward Blalock.

She is survived in life by her daughters Sandy Mahon and husband Caroll of Bloomburg TX, Tonya Domokos and husband Alex of Atlanta TX, brother Alfred Blalock and wife Vivian of New Boston TX, sisters-in-law Janet Blalock of Queen City TX, Janis Thurman of Queen City TX, and Linda Fason of Little Rock AR, brother-in-law Bobby Long of Nashville TN, eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Eva Jo was a member of the Queen City Alumni, Bettes Hall Dance and Four States Square Dance Club. She was a lover of life and an avid dancer. She loved her family and never forgot her true love Jerry Long, who she has gone to join in Heaven. She loved her extended family and church family and never knew a stranger. She will be missed by all daily.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made on Eva and Jerry Long's behalf to QC Alumni, c/o Johnny Sirmans, Treasurer, at 2023 CR 3884 QC TX 75572.

A visitation for Eva Jo will be held, Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Queen City Funeral Home.

Services will be the following afternoon Friday, December 14, 2012 at 2:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Atlanta TX.

Interment will immediately follow at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Doddridge AR.
