Mary L. (Smiley) Storms, 86, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Friday, November 16, 2012 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home.
Mary was born in Stewartsville, Indiana on April 10, 1926 to Carl Smiley and Irene (Jolly) Manning who preceded her in death.
Mary was a graduate of Owensville High School and Bramwell Business College. She worked at Crescent Plastics, Inc. and was a former Docent at Mesker Park Zoo. Mary was very active in SWIRCA and enjoyed gardening and traveling.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Pamela S. Puckett of Evansville, IN, Valerie L (James) Hoffman of Henderson, KY; grandchildren, Jason Puckett of Indianapolis, IN, Lauren Puckett of Grand Rapids, MI, Angela M. Martin of Evansville, IN, Michael Gray of Newburgh, IN; 5 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Helen (Cody) Garrett of Vincennes, IN, Margaret Cox of Jenkintown, PA; several nieces; nephews; grand nieces and grand nephews.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Jean Val Storms in 2011; her parents and brothers, Alvin Smiley and Kenneth Bridges.
Funeral services will be held at 2PM on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with Rev. Don Moore officiating. Burial will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit from 1PM until service time on Wednesday.
