Lois Wilma Abbott, Shawnee resident passed away December 17, 2012 at the age of 74. She was born August 2, 1938 to Maynard L. and Hazel L (Linback) Martin in Beardstown Indiana. She was raised in Peru, IN and graduated from Peru High School. As a child she played on the river bank and enjoyed watching carnivals and circuses set up in the park across from her home. She was employed at Tinker Air Force Base and was the quality circle leader in the Oxygen unit. She enjoyed floral design and all kinds of crafts. She was proud of her children and especially proud of coming to know Jesus. She was preceded in death by her parents; Maynard and Hazel Martin, her son; David Wayne Swearingen, her first husband; Donald Wayne Swearingen, second husband; Bob Gene Abbott, and her sister; Barbara Joan Barr. She is survived by her son; Warren Alan Swearingen of Ft. Walton, FL, her daughter; Wanda Lynn Howard of Shawnee, OK, her grandchildren; Warren (Alan) Swearingen Jr., Jeffrey Alan Howard, Kathleen Elizabeth Swearingen, and Matthew Ryan Howard, her brother; Roy Leo Martin of Peru, IN, and sister; Juanita Sue Wiles of Peru, IN.
