Born June 6, 1922 in Jackson Township, Geraldine was the daughter of the late Floyd H. and Bertha V. Hanks Karns.
She was a graduate of Franklin High School and Welch's Business College, and had worked at the First National Bank of Pennsylvania as a secretary.
Geraldine was a member of Fox Street Church of God, where she was very active. She also had been a volunteer at the Franklin Library.
She is survived by her two brothers, Charles R. Karns and his wife, Arvilla, of Franklin and Leslie (Jake) W. Karns and his wife, Hilde, of Smyrna, Tenn.; her three sisters, Neva Irene Kahler of Cooperstown, Gladys Passmore of Painted Post, N.Y and Janet McDonald of Reno; her sister-in-law, Janet Karns of Bradleytown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Geraldine was preceded in death by her sister, Elsie Schoonover and her brother, Ralph "Buster" Karns.
