Asa O. Coulter, 73, Selma, died Friday at his home following a long illness.

He was a lifelong resident of Delaware County and well known as a cornet player. He retired in 1934.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Nina Schesky, Fort Wayne; two half brothers, Mark and Francis Coulter, both of Albany; and five half sisters, Mrs. Lora Johnson, Punta Gorda, Fla., Mrs. William Cox, Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Mrs. Beulah Nelson, Mrs. Eric Skeen and Mrs. George Conduitt, all of Muncie.

Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Parson Mortuary with Rev. Paul Vice officiating. Burial will follow in Strong Cemetery, Albany. Friends may call at the funeral home after 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
